What is this?
MY Tier is a drag-and-drop tier list maker built specifically for Malaysian politicians. You rank 80+ politicians — from the Prime Minister to state Menteris Besar, from veteran statesmen to the newest generation of elected MPs — by placing them into tiers from S (the best) to F (the worst).
The rankings are entirely your own. There are no right or wrong answers. MY Tier exists to spark discussion, friendly debate, and engagement with Malaysian politics in a light, entertaining format. Share your completed tier list as an image on WhatsApp, Facebook, or TikTok to compare opinions with friends and family.
The site covers all five major coalitions — Pakatan Harapan, Barisan Nasional, Perikatan Nasional, GPS (Sarawak), and GRS (Sabah) — plus smaller parties like Muda, Warisan, and notable Independents. You can filter politicians by coalition, search by name, and even add your own custom politicians using the upload tool on the Tier Maker page.

Malaysian Political Coalitions
Malaysia operates under a parliamentary democracy where multiple coalitions compete for federal and state government control. Here is a quick guide to each coalition represented on MY Tier:
Pakatan Harapan (PH)
PKR, DAP, Amanah, UPKO
The current ruling federal coalition led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. PH champions multiracial politics, anti-corruption reform, and institutional independence. It governs in a unity arrangement with BN.
Barisan Nasional (BN)
UMNO, MCA, MIC
Malaysia's longest-serving ruling coalition, which governed continuously from 1957 to 2018. UMNO-led BN now supports the PH unity government, marking a historic political realignment after the GE15 results.
Perikatan Nasional (PN)
Bersatu, PAS
The main federal opposition coalition formed in 2020. PN won the largest share of parliamentary seats in GE15 but fell short of a majority. It governs three northern states: Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu.
Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)
PBB, SUPP, PRS, PDP
Sarawak's dominant political bloc, led by Chief Minister Abang Johari. GPS controls Sarawak's state government and is a key ally of the federal unity government, contributing crucial parliamentary seats.
Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)
Parti Pribumi Sabah & allies
Sabah's ruling state coalition led by Chief Minister Hajiji Noor. Like GPS in Sarawak, GRS is a vital federal government ally and represents the unique political dynamics of East Malaysia.
Muda & Independents
Muda, Warisan, PSM, Independents
Smaller parties and unaffiliated MPs. Muda, founded by Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman, targets younger voters. Warisan is Sabah-based. Independents include high-profile figures who left their original parties.

You can add custom politicians directly on the Tier Maker page — scroll down to the pool section and use the "Add politician" tool. Upload a photo and enter a name to instantly add them to your pool. No submission or approval needed. Custom politicians are stored locally in your browser and do not affect other users' sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a tier list?
A tier list is a ranking format where you sort items into tiers from S (the absolute best) down to F (the worst). The format started in gaming communities and has become a popular way to rank anything online — sports players, TV characters, and yes, politicians. Your tier list is your own subjective opinion.
How do I use this site?
Go to the Tier Maker page. On desktop, drag politician cards from the pool at the bottom into any tier row. On mobile, tap a card to select it (it glows yellow), then tap a tier row to place it. Once done, save your tier list as a PNG image or copy a share URL.
Can I rename the tier labels?
Yes. Click any tier label (S, A, B, C, D, or F) to edit it inline. You can set custom categories like 'Would Vote For', 'Trust', 'Competent', or anything else. Click 'Reset Labels' to restore the default S–F labels.
Is this site affiliated with any political party?
No. MY Tier is completely independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any Malaysian political party, coalition, or government body. All rankings are made by individual users and represent their own subjective opinions.
Where do the politician photos come from?
Photos are sourced from publicly available materials including official press releases, public domain images, and Creative Commons–licensed sources. All images are stored locally on our servers and are not hotlinked from third-party sites.
